London Fashion Week - Steal Their Style
As the fashionistas clamour for front row seats at London Fashion Week, we take a look at who's wearing what. While their eyes are glued on the catwalks, our eyes are glued on them to see whose style we’d love to steal, and whose style we’d like to see consigned to the sin bin.
The sun was shining for the opening day – so there was plenty of flesh on show with Daisy Lowe wearing a fab red dress that showed off her long legs, Pixie Geldof sporting revealing black lace, and Kimberly Stewart looking cool and quirky in a tailored jacket and satin dress.
Kimberly Stewart
The daughter of Rod Stewart has carved out a career for herself as a model and fashion designer so it’s no wonder she raced on down to the opening day of London Fashion Week.
This is a top look – a white girlie satin dress is given a bang-on-trend style makeover with a wide black patent belt. The jacket looks smart and elegant, too – grab one now to take your summer frocks through to autumn. She wears few accessories, little make-up and her hair is pulled back in a simple style – a look that says effortless chic.

Lady Victoria Hervey
Arriving for the PPQ show, the socialite looks every inch the lady. Her style switches between outlandish flesh-flasher to demure sophisticate. Her outfit for the start of London Fashion Week comprised a pretty white maxi-dress and a baby pink stole.
Warm pashmina shawls are ideal for chilly autumn nights when you don’t want to spoil floaty frocks with heavy coats. Lady V is blonde but because of her sun-kissed skin, she looks good in white rather than washed-out – wear pale shades carefully and find one to enhance your colouring.

Pixie Geldof
The Geldof sisters can always be relied upon for some entertainment in the fashion stakes. Black lace dresses are a top trend for this season. Granted, they will be somewhat chilly when the cold weather kicks in but we reckon Pixie wears the look brilliantly. Yes, there’s a fair amount of flesh on show, but the sharp collar saves the dress from being tarty.
For a similar style, try M&S: the new collection features a couple of fab lacy frocks which won’t leave you shivering this winter. Keep the rest of your outfit simple, save for a pair of killer heels.

Daisy Lowe
Fashion barometer Daisy Lowe looks stylish in a bright red dress - and you’ve got to give her credit for always managing to dress just right for the occasion. This is a bold frock for daytime, but she manages to play it down with some well-judged accessories, opting for an oversize bag and simple Mary-Janes rather than sky-high stilettos.
While this is a hard look to pull off without a slim figure and great pins, if you’ve got it, flaunt it. Best to play down the make-up, too: red lipstick can look too much with a figure-hugging red dress.

Alexa Chung
Much has been said about Alexa’s great sense of style and so every fashion occasion sees style-watchers eagerly eyeing her up. This is quite a smart trimmed jacket but she keeps the style youthful with a short skirt, T-shirt and plenty of chain necklaces. Pictured here with Peaches Geldof, Alexa looks chic yet casual.
Mismatch a sharp tailored jacket with a playful skirt and wear with a vest-top or T-shirt. Patterned tights and ballet shoes will complete the look, with hair worn in a casual up-do.

Contrast trimmed blazer, £49.50, Marks & Spencer
Erin O’Connor
Super-tall supermodel Erin tends to opt for muted shades - and this look for London Fashion Week is no exception. A dark grey chunky cardigan or wool coat looks good worn casually over jeans or with black trousers for a smarter occasion.
If you’re not blessed with Erin’s long legs, opt for a shorter coat and keep your jeans or trousers slimline so the outfit doesn’t dwarf you; nip cardies and coats in at the waist with a belt. The look is decidedly understated, so keep hair and make-up simple but groomed.

Roisin Murphy
The Irish singer has a unique and quirky look - so whether you love or loathe her style, you can’t say it’s not original. For London Fashion Week, she teamed a sailor-style coat with white pants, a huge gold holdall big enough to carry an army, and a massive hat.
A long white coat is a perfect wardrobe staple, but add your own touches such as an unusual scarf. Wear hair sleek and curled under if you want a groomed look that works well with such a statement hat. Roisin loves her hats, and on day two of LFW, she swapped her beret for a bowler.
