Thread: Upgraded to vista sp1 no dvd drive

I have upgraded to vista sp1 now the laptop will not see the dvd drive.
The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 6400 the dvd drive is a dvd+-rw ds8w1p ata device
I have tried uninstalling the drive and re-installing with the latest driver but to no avail.
It says in device manager could not load device driver.
Some help would be appreciated thanks.

You try to re-format, and do it again hope it work...............
