I use free service from [Only Registered users can see links . Click Here To Register...] as they never delete your statistics and allow monitoring any port you need. I've been using it over a year and it proved to be pretty reliable.

I also tried [Only Registered users can see links . Click Here To Register...] but it started to send tons of false alerts one day so I had to cancel the account.

My other monitor has shown 101% uptime one day when I was watching my site with some other free service. I also like siteuptime.com
