Default [UIQ3] MODs by various Hackers

I will post here all MODs that Gapata ans SWmail made for UIQ3 specially for P990i.. LOL..
i personally tested and recommend

Sound mod full by SWmail

Description
Mod: Sony Ericsson UIQ3-smartphones sound mod full
Mod's authors: Sergey (aka VSV), SWmail (aka SW)
Mod's version: 1.1 (12 June 2008)

This mod increases the volume on SE UIQ3 smartphones.
In this version supports any wired headset, BT headset and rear speaker.

Tested on: P1i (R6G04/R9K009/GW1), M600 (R6A16), P990i, W950i, W960i

Changelog
12 June 2008 - 1.1 Fixed bugs with microphone; decreased the volume level when network found; increased the volume in the rear speaker for handfree calls.
09 June 2008 - 1.0 First release

Installation
Attention! That mod has worked correctly, file 'C:\private\10202be9\persists\1020867a.cre' should be original (if was applied 'sound mod lite' you can delete this file).
- Unlock access to system folders Code:

- Download the archive from Code:
[Only Registered users can see links . Click Here To Register...]
- Copy on your smartphone the folder 'AATFiles' from the directory 'Z:\private\10200B19\' to the directory 'C:\private\10200B19\' and the file 'Z:\sys\bin\mmmgmtserver.exe' to the directory 'C:\sys\bin\'.
- Copy the file 'Z:\sys\bin\M3SAudioPolicyMgr.dll' from your phone to computer.
- Run se_sound_patcher_full, select the file 'M3SAudioPolicyMgr.dll' copied from the phone and press "Install".
- Copy the patched file 'M3SAudioPolicyMgr.dll' back to your phone to the dir 'c:\sys\bin\' and extract contents of the archiv 'AATFiles.zip' to the directory 'C:\private\10200B19\'.
- Restart your smartphone.
- Enjoy and ...

P.S.: You can make changes in profiles (files *. aat) i.e. in parameters LeftAcousticAccessTypeGain and RightAcousticAccessTypeGain (xxxAcousticAccessTypeGain = pow2(THIS_VALUE,-9)). Profiles for editing you can take from the directory 'Z:\private\10200B19\AATFiles\'. Even you can edit files phf_1_play.aat (standard wired headset) and phf_2_play.aat (other wired headset) parameter DAC_CNTR_INTI (ie DAC_CNTR_INTI = pow2 (0,0)). For bluetooth-headsets yoou need to change file 'btbtl_hbh_ds970_play.aat'.

Changing Bluetooth Received Files Temp Path from Phone Memory to Memory Card!


Hi guys, I managed to change the location of Bluetooth received file temp location from phone memory to Memory card

The temp location for BT files are C:\shared\obex
Which I changed to
D:\shared\obex

the file responsible for that is
Z:\resource\apps\qobexlistner.r??

Just copy this file to ur c:\resource\apps and hex edit to change the location from C:\ to D:\ then save the file n restart!

UPDATE: The Modified File is attached!

HELP i just can't get the thing to work did the capswitch running swiss manager but can't find the 'C:\private\10202be9\persists\1020867a.cre'

i did find the service menu -but thats pointless

..just wondering, are u able to see any files inside c: and z: ? if u dont, and only see folders, maybe u havent configure the settings to display/show hidden/system files... or u got your capswitch settings wrongly configured.. just maybe.

i don't have a "z"

i trun capswitch on (thats it .. it just says on)
if i use x-ploer i see a c and d (on the phone)
if i connect it too a PC via usb and set it to file mode i see the m2 card
if i take out the card it says empty
i can see the private folder but there isn't a dir 1002b09 etc far less for the files i'm supposed to run the sound mod against.

love the phone just want more audio

the pc can see the hidden files

PopMenu Editor for UIQ3



If you folow UIQ3´s hacks/mods scene, you know s.h.a.r.k found a way to edit the Popmenu (access it by pressing the little icon on the top left extreme of your UIQ3 device screen).
Now this process is even more easy, because Diapason created a tool to alow editing of the Popmenu right from your PC.

it still didn't work
i guess the sound hack dosen't work with CDA :r5a
