TABU for UIQ 3
I just found a simple and funny software for your UIQ phones!
here are some notes form the creator:
TABU is a new Symbian/UIQ3 application I’m working on at the moment… actually I will be working on when I’ll have more time.
The name is an abbreviation: The Anti-Boredom Union. So I think you can guess that it’s not a serious business application, rather a toy, to waste more battery power (Actually I will write it to have minimal impact on the energy consumption).
The application simply shows some cute little animations on the screen, hopefully with the result of getting you to smile
Anyway, long story short, I need a first animation to start with, so here it is:
Well, I had 2 more hours to work today, so I decided to add some more animations to TABU. Here are the new images:
Today I made some new animations for TABU, they will be added in the next release:
Well, I found out how to make an app start automatically at boot, hence TABU 0.4 is released:
now it starts at boot
now it starts animation automatically (ie. no need to select More->Start)
now it automatically hides himself on start (you can still see it in the task list, hence you can bring it forward or kill it)
So it’s ready to be installed (secretely) on your friend’s phone and just wait his reactions:D
Oh, I almost forgot the download link: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
i cannot post all the images here.. i dont know why, the images just don't show or something like that? anyway.. enjoy!
It is a java app and doesn't integrate with the phones system, you simply have to run the app to lock the phone then slide the bar to unlock and close the app.
Also I don't want to have the iPhone fish background, it would be better if it only displayed the slide lock over my normal background.
Finally I find it much quicker and more convenient to hold the Back key to activate my keylock rather than waiting a few second for the java app to start.
Nice concept though
why not use other applications here? This new TABU is good, it goes with your P990i system..
