Konami of Europe to bring its best-selling football franchise to mobile phones as Konami?s mobile content continues to expand.

Konami of Europe is to release a version of its best-selling Pro Evolution Soccer for mobile phones. The game will be available from March 2006, and will be released via both the publisher's new Konami Net download service and all major download services in Europe.

Provisionally entitled Pro Evolution Soccer Mobile, the game will feature AI from Pro Evolution Soccer 5 and will be played within a 2D play area. It will be a single-player game, with further gameplay details to be announced in the coming months. The game will be available across European territories with WAP access to Konami Net - the publisher's download portal - while a list of providers and compatible handsets is still to be confirmed.





"Pro Evolution Soccer is one of Konami of Europe's most recognized and successful titles," said Kunio Neo, President of Konami of Europe. "We intend to bring it to mobile users in a form that will do justice to such a well-loved franchise, and see Pro Evolution Soccer Mobile as a key title as we look to extend awareness of Konami's mobile content."

Wow, I can hardly wait to see how it's gonna be like. I wonder how they recreated that great gameplay for the mobile platform.
I can finally play my favourite soccer game on my mobile. :sauteur2:
