hello everybody, i have manage to run the app from the memory card but i cant make it work with uk map, dunno why, works with some eastern countries maps but it doesnt work with uk map.Could this be because of licence file?or *.dem file?can somebody help me out? thanks in advance.
app vers 8.0.0.35943
map : UnitedKingdom7PPC8_2008.01_080218(93mb) or UnitedKingdom8(76mb)
licence : iGO2008.lic, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], iGO8_PDA_PNA.lic
dem file: europe_ta.dem(217mb), eurasia.dem(8.52mb)
what is wrong?
hello everybody, i`ve got a sat nav called origo and i couldnt launch igo8 from memory card, only from internal flash, but it didnt work with uk map(western europe) because the licence was only for eastern europe.I tried to replace the lic files with no succes, everytime the screen freezed at "init api".The app igo8 couldnt start because the lic file.The problem is u cant have 2 or more lic files on internal flash or memory card but i`have managed to make it work ;)
so what i did was :
i had version
8.0.0.35943
apr 17 2008
i copied the files from internal memory to card memory.Replace the file iGOPATCH.txt to make it work like this
[modules]
Settings = "icons/settings.bmp", "settings", 1
Navigate = "icons/files.bmp", "\\Storage Card\\iGO8\\iGO8.exe"
i`ve changed the lic file from memory card with this one: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], so i got 2 lic files, the original one on internal flash memory and the other lic file on memory card.The lic file from memory card was for uk and other countries.
then i copied the new maps into \sdmmc\igo8\content\maps\
copy europe_ta.dem in \dem folder
now i`ge got version 8.3.x from sep 25 2008 running.
