Thread: Garmin Mobile 10 (XT) s60 3rd - links dead

Sorry my English, and i am new in here
Does someone else have this problem with Garmin XT.. When i install garmin, my text sms writing goes absolutely grazy:P reverse copy/paste thing. GarminXT itself is working fine.
I dont know what to do:/ i must have this soft running, but i would like to have some normal sms-writing too.

And my phone is N82.
Any hints, anyone?

try loading Mapsource download that from here Dec 2007 version

while running mapsource have card in PC and try th option TRANSFER FROM
it should show your GMxt in a similas box to poi loader


Run the Mapsource prog 1st then run POI loader again

Then it WILL WORK

well i updated mapsource to 6.14.3 by just using the update function from within mapsource. but the same thing just happens when i launch poiloader. but then i just had a thought, pois are just waypoints right? can't i just drag and drop the poi file i have into the waypoint tab and then send to device?? is that when poiloader is suppose to open up??

If it's already in the right format just drag and drop it into the POI folder in Garmin on the phone. POI loader will take a .csv file (like if you made your own POI list) and automatically convert it, it also take multiple file and convert and load into one for you.

installed the program with base maps and it works. Recognizes my GPS on my N95-3 and also follows my location when i'm driving. The problem i have is that there are no streets showing on the map except for highways and really major roads. How can i get maps for New york or North Amrica for that matter.

For all those with success stories, did you have to register with garmin to get your map source? If so, how did you go about doing it? I need North American map. thanks.

The Mapsource can be installed over the top of the one you have
it is an update or standalone

if you have mapsource it updates it

but have the card in as it loads the correct drivers

This site does not seem to cut it. The USA map that I need does not work. Does it mean that nobody was able to get this running with US map?

Working 100% with North America NT 2008, the same one listed in post #1 of this thread.
