Maybe its just me, but I always "liked" resco's photo viewer, but never loved it.

DOnt get me wrong, for 3 or 4 years, Resco Explorer was THE essential must-have app EVERY WM/PPC-os owner NEEDED. You could argue about which sync software or which PIM was best, or who had the coolest database or comm applications...

But EVERYBODY ran RESCO Explorer.

So their photo viewer got press from that...and it was GOOD, but they always had issues their competitors didnt. Early versions didnt have true browsing, you selected a storage card or a directory, and that was all. The image buffer was too slow and too small, and 4k devices werent really supported, the program liked to pixelate or dither outout, and its controls werent that intuitive? The browse display was always fixed sizes and positions and it seemed like the images in br owse mode were always too small because they didnt make proper use of screen real estate.

That said...many of its better competitors have fallen by the wayside or at least not kept up with advancements. SPB Imageer was a cheap and simple program that once beat resco, now its debateable? Same goes for PQ Viewer aka Pocket Quickview. That was once so much superior to resco, it was night and day, but the latest generation of PQ is not as amazing as it was in 2005. They slipped some.

Ill play more with the latest Resco, hopefully its so good that Ill uninstall my registered copy of PQviewer...
