    Hello there
Thanks so much to you for reading this. I was wondering if you can help me, I'm looking for the possibility to fix my Nokia E65 dead phone on line due to a problem update with "Nokia Software Update page". An error ocurred during the update and now my phone is completely dead, it doesn't turn on anymore not even pressing "*" + "3" + "call" (several times I tried).
I already try to fix it with Phoenix service software but it displays an error message.

This is the info I'm using for a Nokia E65
    Product code 0543460: EURO 1 White/Silver
    Software version 3.0633.69.00

After pressing refurbish button displays this message box:

    Product flashing failed

The flashing failed. Do you like to retry the flashing?
    HRESULT 0x8401f141 (-2080247487)
Flash: Boot rom was not detected after phone boot up. (guess the problem is here)
    Unable to start flashing.

Also I tried to flash it with JAF and this is the status:

    JAF version 1.98.62
    Detected PKEY: 900099AD
    Card life counter: 99.99%
    P-key nokia module version 01.02

Do you have any idea of what could be the problem? I don't think it could be the cable 'cause every time I plug it displays that notification bar saying 'unrecognized device'
Do you think that it can be fixed?
Or should I have to buy other phone? Ha Ha Ha! =o(
    Hope you can help me.
    Thanx so much in advance!

    1) well, it seems you haven't pasted complete log here, what happened after 'Stage 2 starting...............' ? because everything before it is fine.
    2) is it a dead phone?

i can't say for sure whether it is a firmware issue, it seems to be more likely a hardware issue, but still you can flash it and see if new firmware copy solves it. make sure you don't check 'Dead USB' option as your phone is NOT dead.

ok, dude thats a bit of a shocking revelation...! I actually found a 13 pin DKU-2 cable (guess its not original!). So you saying I ought to use the CA-53 cable (its a Nokia Original) and make sure I do NOT tick the dead phone option?! Any guide on this somewhere...?! graphical...?!

    Thanks a bunch!

well, that's interesting, because all the USB interface connectivity cables are 6-pin, it must be a serial interface cable (they are 13-pin).
btw, you don't need it, just use your CA-53.
and about 'Dead USB' option: mate, this thread is about a guide for reviving dead BB5 phones, but you got your phone revived from a shop and then wanted to change the firmware version, so i told you not to tick 'Dead USB' check box (shown in the picture below). Dead USB option is for flashing dead phones.

jaf is best and easiest for newbies.
6280 has been tested; but i assume your mobile is not dead, you just want to update it's firmware, if it's so then: mate, this thread is about a guide for reviving dead BB5 phones, but you want to change the firmware version, so do not tick 'Dead USB' check box (shown in the picture below). Dead USB option is for flashing dead phones.
