Designed using Nokia’s Qt cross-platform application and UI framework, Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 brings together only the essential features from Nokia’s past and present desktop applications.

The result is a refreshingly elegant, slim and fast piece of software that is a pleasure to use.In due time, when Nokia Ovi Suite is ready to cater to the essential needs of all Nokia desktop software users, the application will replace the all popular Nokia PC Suite. Until then Nokia PC Suite continues to exist alongside its next-generation cousin.

Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 is intended as the only computer application you will need from Nokia. Hi, we’re getting closer to final release of Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 and started to push new update release of Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 Beta for you today. So, make sure, that you keep using or start up Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 Beta and check for updates. This release is important for us, as we are closing final release and we want to hear your feedback. If you have written previous error reports, please confirm that does it work now.



One thing that we’ve specially improved in this Beta version is photos sync, getting photos from device to Nokia Ovi Suite works now in much more reliable fashion. Let us know, if you find any problems in photos sync anymore with this Beta update. Also, we’ve continued work with performance, bug fixing and stability. Installing the software automatically uninstalls Nokia Ovi Suite 1.x and Nseries PC Suite, as well as exits Nokia PC Suite if it is open.
Prior to installation, we recommend you to backup your important content, such as contacts, calendar, photos, and music, for example to memory card or with other backup applications. Nokia Ovi Suite contains backup wizard, which can be used for taking backups. Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 Beta uses same databases as Nokia Music and Nokia Photos. Nevertheless, it is always possible that some interoperability problems arise.

Enter *#0000# on your device to show the model name on your device's screen. Or switch it off and remove the battery - the model is printed on the white label inside your device.

Access Ovi
By creating a Nokia Account, you can access Ovi and all its services with a single user name and password, both on your mobile device and on your PC.


Create an account
To get started, browse to Ovi using your mobile device browser, and select Register on the home page. Do the following:

Enter a user name.
Enter a password, and then enter it again to confirm it.
Select a security question, and enter an answer that you can use to retrieve a forgotten password.
Enter your e-mail address or mobile number, or both. This information is used to verify your registration.
Enter the spam protection code.
Read the Ovi Service Terms and the Privacy Policy, and select the check box to accept them.
To complete your registration, select Continue.


If, during step 4, you entered your e-mail address, access your e-mail account, open the e-mail sent by Nokia Account, and select the link to confirm your e-mail address.
If you entered your mobile number, you receive a text message with a confirmation link. Select the link, and connect to the internet, when prompted, to complete the verification.
Start using your new account

To start using your new account, select Sign in now on the Congratulations page.

Edit your account details

To edit your account details, access Ovi on your PC, sign in, and click Account on the navigation bar. You cannot edit your account details on your mobile device.

Sign in to Ovi
To sign in, browse to Ovi using your mobile device browser, and select Sign in on the home page. Enter your user name and password, and select Submit.

When you sign in to Ovi for the first time on your mobile device, you are asked to give additional information about yourself. Enter your first name and last name, and select Continue.

Manage your device
To be able to sync content between your mobile device and Ovi, your device must be compatible with Ovi Sync, and it must be associated with your account on Ovi. You can add and sync more than one device to Ovi.




Add your mobile device to Ovi
To add your mobile device to Ovi, browse to Ovi using your mobile device browser, and do the following:

Sign in to Ovi, and select Add a device on the home page.
Select your mobile device from the drop-down list, enter your mobile number, select your country, language, and time zone from the drop-down lists, and select Next . Remember to include the international country code when entering your mobile phone number. For the UK, the code is +44. You must select the same time zone as in your mobile device settings.
Check your details on the Confirm your details page, and select Next . You will receive the sync settings for your mobile device in a text message. If you do not receive the sync settings, select Send it again on the Setup page.
Note down the PIN code given on the Setup page, and select Next .
Select Done on the Congratulations page to exit the setup wizard.
Navigate to the sync settings text message on your mobile device, and enter the PIN code. You remain signed in to Ovi and can return to your session later.
Select Options > Save to install the settings to your mobile device.
Navigate back to your device browser and your Ovi session.

To add more mobile devices to Ovi, select Manage your devices on the Ovi home page, then select Add a device , and repeat steps 2–8.
