The reason for using the anonym.to/? is to protect the forum : if you use the link without the anonym.to/?, the guys at Kaspersky will be able to see from what page you came when you access their side.

Please keep using the link I posted and not the direct link !! :met:
Yes ... this was a typing mistake....

secondly.. we will using GPRS to access the same.. so kaspersky won't able to catch the notch as it will be dynamic IP and socket connection via opera mobile browser

    Hi,

How can i put this file to right folder? (my 5800 is hacked)

Secondly, I'm using KSM 8 radicalz38. Is there better out? Programs auto update always find same size database file, so it isn't working?

If the databases are always *exactly* the same, then I guess it's not working.
When you open KMS, the date of the latest update is displayed.
See also my post in this thread how to get *daily* updates and where to put the update :

*Daily* updates (the link is to the "official" Russian Kaspersky side) :
    Code:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Just rename the file "kav20sym.avc" to "b.dat " (set attribute to "HIDDEN") and copy it to c:\private\200112C4

or get for today in last post

I agree it isnt working because it really is always same size, but at front page database day changes when i try to update...

Sounds easy but "copy it to c:\private\200112C4" <- How?

When i plug my phone to PC it doesnt show that kind of folder (no any c:\private), should it?

I have also tried to use X-Plore but its shows only same folders as PC. Third, I have "Modo" (comes with HelloOX) and it shows private folders, but i cant copy file there because Modo isnt working right on my 5800.

It would be nice have the latest updates, so how to copy to right folder.. thanks

    Using PC won't work.
Did you tick the 4 boxes in X-plore after pressing 0 ?
Do you have ROMPatcher installed ?

This thread was exclusive for providing the updates, so I hope Caty won't slap me on my fingers if I try to help you ;)
One thing to test first : Modo should give you access to c:\private. Can you test this ? Do you see "a lot of" folders if you open c:\private using Modo ? (Modo has TCB capabities = R/W access in all folders)
If you don't see a lot of folders, then your problem is "hack related" and we should not discuss it here.
I'll still help you though, but we need to go to the "Mods section" then.
First do the test and let me know the result.

Hahaa! I checked X-plore options and there was:
    -Show Hidden files
    -Show ROM drives
    -Show RAM drives
    -Show system files/folders
I enabled these and now i can see all same folders as in Modo. Yeh

Now, I noticed that there isn't 200112C4 folder in Private, but I found 2001CFC6 and there is KSM files including b.dat. Now I'm trying to update that file, lets see..

    Edit:
I tried coping but X-plore says: "Can't open file: C:\Private\2001CFC6\b.dat"
Hmm? This needs more access or what? And how to set those access :D

    which phone do you have?
if it's n96 , n85, or 5800, it's an incomplete hack and you cant write on private folders, just see them...waiting for new installserver for s60 v.5 to have a full hack

But to copy the new "installserver" to c:\sys\bin, he needs to have write access too !!
Even if there would be new installserver, he won't be able to use it unless he has write access.... ;)

X-plore will give you only R access, no W access (unless you can use Rompatcher, but rompatcher won't work for 5800)
In my experience, Modo gives you R+W access to private folders on 5800 (up to fw 20.0.012) but is has to be properly signed using a full dev. cert.
Do you have a own develpm. cert. ? use it to sign modo , reinstall modo and try again.
It has to work this way.
