Thread: Personalise N95's "Keypad lock text", "Music player Menu Text" [Hacked Phones]

1.For keypad lock text, copy the file "Aknnotpi.r01" from z:\resource and put it in E:\, edit and change the text with X-plore's hex editor, then copy it to c:\resource and reboot the phone.

You will see the letters" Kexpad unlocked" on the right side in the hex editor. In order to change these letters, you need to change the numbers in the middle of hex editor.I have changed them to "welcome tutser"

The file "Aknnotpi.r01" also contains the text for battery warnings : " fully charged" , "charging" and so on.

Please make sure that you do all the required changes BEFORE you put that file into c:\resouce as you can not modify or delete it once it is there.

This file also has the text "1 new message" , "1 new call", "? missed calls" and "? new messages" which you can modify.

2.For music player menu name, copy and modify the file "mpx.r01" and "mpxmainview.r01" from z:\resource\apps to c:\resource\apps.

FAQ:

1.What if you make a mistake ?

->You will have do a hard reset(*#7370#) to restore the text to factory settings.

2.How to add symbols to text using hex editor?

->I don't know all the symbols yet , but I am working on it.

To personalise the Gallery : Copy the file "MediaGallery2.r01"(for english) from z:\resource\apps to your memory card and then modify it the same way using hex editor of X-plore and put it in c:\resource\apps and restart your phone. This works on N95 for sure but it should work on other S60 3rd devices. ( I wil try and post results for my N73 later).

You can also change the text on standby icon by doing the same to "Idle.r01" from Z drive to C drive.

To personalise Messaging Text , do the same with "mce.r01".

IS there no change to delete or change after its in c:/rescoure? Because i dont want to make a hard reset, but i want to change is a second time. pls tell me thx.

ok, i find a solution, you must change your language, and than you can delete the file, so you dont need a hard reset!

and it does not work, when im changing something my n95 gets crazy, pls post your file that i can see what i did wrong thx

1.Did you reboot your phone?
2.Load the page properly to see all the screenshots if you are from mobile.
3.Understand that whatever new text you are writing in those files, there has to be a character limit to that ( I think 20 characters).Please don't exceed that limit.
