With WMouseXP you can use your phone's Joystick as your wireless mouse,
use your phone's numpads as a media player remote control (like a stereo remote) and a powerpoint presentation remote control - all wirelessly via Bluetooth, using your phone.

WMouseXP is uniqely very easy to setup and use. It's mouse movement is uniqely smooth and accelerates as you hold your joystick down.
Media Player controls are intuitive and its numpad mappings are easy to feel on your mobile phone.
Presentation control is so easy to use! While on stage, just click your joystick to move to the next step and press numpad '2' to go back!
All functions are integrated together in the single page of the Mobile Side program.

Setup
-----

1. Place "WMouseXP.exe" on your window's desktop, double click to start it.

2. Plugin your USB Bluetooth dongle to your PC, Press the "Not installed on phone?" button in WMouseXP to send the Mobile Side WMouseXP program to your mobile phone and install it there.

Note 1: If you see the message saying "No (USB) Bluetooth Radios found..." but you already plugged-in your USB Bluetooth dongle,
just insert it into another USB port and let Windows install the default Microsoft Blueooth Stack that comes with Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or later) until done, then try press the button again.
See the "Requirements" topic below for more details.
Note 2: If the send/installtion on your phone fails, try these alternatives:
-Installing via WAP: open your phone's WAP browser to WAP.CLEAREVO.COM then browse for WMouseXP, install from there.
This download is free, but your network operator might charge you for the normal GPRS data transfer costs.
-Use the the PC-Suite java (j2me) game/application installer provided by your phone manufacturer,
just use the WMouseXP.jar (and some pc-suites might require the jad: WMouseXP.jad also) file provided in the "ManualMobileInstall" folder of the WMouseXP.zip that you downloaded.

3. Start the mobile side program, allow it to access Bluetooth, until you see "Awaiting PC Side". Then, on your PC's WMouseXP, press the "Connect" button.
Wait until it finds the mobile side on your phone, it would then connect and minimize itself while showing the "Wireless Control Active..." balloon.
Done!!! Try move your phone's joystick and see the magic on your PC! Checkout all the functions described in the "Features" topic below!


That's it! the FREE TRIAL should start working on your phone and PC.
Trial Limitation: The trial would disconnect from PC afrer 7 minutes.

Requirements

Mobile Side: Java-Enabled phone, supporting Java-Bluetooth functions.

WMouseXP should normally work on your phone if :
1) It's a java-enabled phone.
AND
2) It supports the Java Bluetooth API (JSR-82).

What is the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack?

This is the default Bluetooth software that comes with Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later and it automatically installs when you insert your new Bluetooth USB Dongle,
or turn on your new Bluetooth hardware.

What if I am using the WIDCOMM, BlueSoleil or other Stacks?
-----------------------------------------------------------
If you are using a Bluetooth USB dongle then simply insert the Bluetooth USB dongle into another USB port,
and let your Windows XP automatically install the default Microsoft Bluetooth Stack in order to use WMouseXP.
You can then insert your Bluetooth USB dongle to the previous USB port when you want to use your normal Bleutooth tasks through the non-Microsoft bluetooth stack.
The next version of WMouseXP would probably support other Bluetooth stacks also.

Usage Scenarios
---------------

Media Player
With WMouseXP, your phones becomes the remote control of your PC-based entertainment system.
Sit-back on your comfortable sofa or lay down on your bed while having full control of your Media Player from your phone - change the track,
increase the volume, open your favorite movie, double click your phone's joystick to make it full-screen. Feel sleepy?
Just move the cursor to your Window's "Start" button and shut-down the computer. Yes, that sounds nice. Just use WMouseXP to make all this happen.
Bluetooth signals can even go through walls, so you can even change the song in your playlist or increase the volume while your're in the bathroom! (but don't get your phone wet!)

Wireless Mouse
With WMouseXP, your mobile phone can be used as a wireless mouse: move the mouse, left click, right click - all using your phone's joystick.
WMouseXP generates smooth cursor movement on PC, the cursor move speed increases as you hold the joystick down.
When you have control of your mouse cursor, you have wireless control of your computer.
What's better is that you don't have to use a clean surface/table like that of a real mouse. This mouse is entirely hand-held.
You can use WMouseXP on your sofa, your bed, from your kitchen, virtually anywhere in the Bluetooth range - this is normally up to ten meters away!


Presentation control
Walk around explaining your presentation on stage (or in meeting/class rooms), click the joystick of your phone to move on to the next step/slide of your presentation.
Press another button to go to the previous one. With WMouseXP, you have wireless control of your powerpoint presentation in your hand!

Mouse Movement:

Use your phone's joystick to move the mouse left right up down. Click the joystick in (or the middle/fire button on some phones) to do a left click,
press and hold it for a right click on your PC.

Numpad Commands:

1: Exit the presentation (Esc, use while in Powerpoint*).
2: Previous slide (Left Arrow, use while in Powerpoint*).
3: Start presentation (F5, use while in Powerpoint*).
4: Launch "My Computer".**
5: Launch Media Player.
6: Mute/Unmute.
7: Stop.
8: Play/Pause.
9: Increase Volume.
*: Previous Track.
0: Next Track.
#: Decrease Volume.

Notes:

* WMouseXP generates keyboard events as described. Therefore, it would work as described only when a presentation is already opened in Powerpoint.
Also compatible with OpenOffice.org presentations.

** "My Computer" would not be launched if another "My Computer" window is alraedy open.

Other notes:
Some media player commands may not work as intended if you have some versions of Nero or WinAmp software installed.
You can check this if you have a multimedia keyboard: try pressing the "Midia Player","Play","Stop","Next Track","Previous Track", "Increase Volume", "Decrease Volume" keys -
you can normally expect the same results from WMouseXP. Just try the FREE TRIAL - The Best way to know if it works on your phone and PC or not.


Known Issues:
-The PC-Side WMouseXP used to work fine but suddenly it always show "Connection Declined or Timed-Out".
Solution: This rare error can be solved by Restarting your PC and try again.

How to Setup?
It's very intuitive and easy. First, insert your USB Bluetooth Dongle to yout PC, Unzip the downloaded zip file, then double-###### its WMouseXP.exe (PC Side).

In the "Step 1" box, press the "Not installed on phone?" button to send the Mobile Side Software to your mobile phone.
Install and start it there - allow it to access Blueooth by pressing the (left) softkey to explicitly say "Yes" (pressing the joystick "in" would result in a default "No")
- then you'd see it showing "Awaiting PC Side".

Finally, press "Connect" in the PC Side WMouseXP. Enjoy!

Thanks a lot for your post and to have found this great application to make our phone more or less, a remote for our PC
It's work pretty well, and in fact there a new version which now is compatible with other BT stack than the microsoft one.

So I have made a new post to upload it and for the update ;) Hope that's fine for you.
