Yup. You have to sign it. I have it working on my E61. I love using it instead of the default nokia sms inbox but it is a memory hog! It takes about 2.5MB of system memory when you leave it running in the background.

There must be something wrong with the program or the ***** because it cannot display all SMSes on my phone. Also when I try to expand the messages of a contact, the application closes itself down.
