    I would like to know if it is possible to install another OS on a symbian phone (android, meego, ...).

    You can't install other OS, but its possible install a emulator.
    I know only one, StyleTap that open Palm OS.

    All the os that comes with a particular phone are built keeping in view its hardware. So you cant change any mobile OS to other.

    If you compare it with your pc they are built using some standards. So you can shift them.

    No mobile manufacturer would like to fallow standards as it increases competition and their demand reduces.
