Thread: New Nokia N8

Hi, I have the new Nokia N8, comes with great features it seems that nokia is improving their phones and Simbian^3 looks great. What I wonder is: I have readed some posts in other places about this phone and there is people complaining about a device failure that after a few weeks of operation the phone dont start anymore and needed to go to Nokia repair centre, do any of you know anything about this ???

1st batch faulty, 2nd batch fine to see if you have 2nd batch type *#0000# look for version 012.011 then you should have nothing to worry about.

what kind of problems does first batch has, as my version shows 011.012

?? mine had the same problem, it frozen and won't start up again. now I have a new motherboard with new Imei but stil shows 011.012. I think it has nothing to do with that.

to restart the phone keep the on/off switch pressed for ten seconds... mine also froze a couple of times...

in general how is your N8? because i am planning to buy 1. thanks

It's a good phone but takes a little time to get use to it. Mine has frozen on a couple of occasions, but after up-dates it seems to have settled down.

Freezes? Thank God that I didn't buy this phone.

N8 is really best phone..great phones...my software version is 013.016.....work fine ..
