I don't think that to organize android resources by manufacture is a good idea.
Currently there are about 3-5 brands of android fones, but for sure the scale will increase. This OS is some kind of open linux that can runs on lots of platform.
Anyhow when visitors are seeking for OS ROM files, they prefer manufacture-oriented forums. So, I suggest CREATE a forum as
ANDROID -- Soft (games, full versions,..ect)
|-ROMs (with sticky posts of branded ROM releases)

yeah whats with this people? more android operating phones are now out, Im using HTC hero .. but most things for that type of phone are readily availabe on android market which offers
applications, games both free and paid.

but there definately needs to be another section specific for android phones, for wallpaper, themes tips tricks etc for many readily available android phones out there now and maybe even a sub section from android for ideas for what people may think of... or want for android application developers to build next

im using HTC hero 1.5 firmware

i have upgraded the Rom to HTC Hero ROM 2.73.405.5 which have fixed alot of reported issues with (missing LED light whislt charging, 1 unread message status constantly, slow browser surfing, and slow touch flow, all updated and resolved on new rom upgrade,

im stil using 1.5 firmware.. i have not upgraded to 2.0 which is now apprently available, to be honest im happy usinng the phone as it is at the moment
