World Cup organisers confirmed that Prince William, will attend England's opening match against Paraguay on June 10. The 23-year-old prince will attend the game in Frankfurt, the vice-president of the organising committee Horst R. Schmidt said. Schmidt did not say whether the prince would attend England's other two first-round Group B games, against Trinidad and Tobago in Nuremberg on June 15 and Sweden in Cologne on June 20.
Other royal visitors to the tournament will include Crown Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and his Argentine-born wife Princess Maxima who, fittingly, want to attend the Netherlands v Argentina match in Frankfurt on June 21.
The World Cup takes place in 12 German cities from June 9 to July 9.
