Preview: France vs. Switzerland



It is a battle of experience versus youth as France’s old guard takes on the young guns from Switzerland. Zinedine Zidane and co. look to avenge a dreadful 2002 World Cup. Their path to the quarter-finals appears to be easy, but today’s match against the Swiss won’t be a walk in the park. The two teams met twice in qualifying, drawing both times. Sit back, relax and enjoy what hopefully will be a great World Cup opening round match.

Bit of a disspointing game for France as I think they should be one of the Semi-Finalists as have some of best players in world.

Game was a bit of a stalemate with both teams not coping with the weather ! Even Zidane was quiet...

Like england France could have done better, but the weather got hold of players once again ! Switzerland didnt really kick it off either with only 3 shots on target and 1 corner. France had 6 shots on Target and 3 corners, so not much attacking going on ! The teams had about 50% each possession and there was quite a few fouls as well with France having 3 players booked and Switzerland having 5 booked !!

Once again the weather ruled !! Maybe the East European teams cant handle the heat !
