The device clips on to your PSP via the headphone socket.
Wired headphones, eh? What a nightmare. We couldn’t count the number of times we’ve tripped up over them or almost inadvertantly strangled the cat.
Okay, so they’re not a huge pain to use – but they’re still not as handy as wireless headphones, which is why Bluetooth is currently popping up on everything audio, including – if you believe the rumours – the next iPod.
The latest device to add a Bluetooth string to its bow is the Sony PSP, thanks to the i-PHONO Stereo Pod transmitter. This device fits on the underside of the console, transmitting “CD quality stereo” to a pair of Bluetooth headphones (sold separately, incidentally).
The i-PHONO is out soon, according to its makers, but no price has yet been announced.
