    Making the most out of that HD telly, and kicking the pants off DVD-playing competition - Sony's super Hi-Def will be the business!...


    Sony’s Playstation 3 might be an expensive bit of kit), but at least we know we’re getting the very best there is on offer – Sony’s just confirmed it’ll pack the best HD output on the planet.


    According to the latest nugget of next-gen info, PS3 will tote a HDMI 1.3 connector – without getting too technical it’s more than double the speed of a regular HDMI socket, so it can spit out better quality pictures than anything we’ve seen to date.
    It’s good news for gamers, and goes some way to justifying that higher than expected PS3 Price tag!


    It also means that the PS3 will perform the best possible job of turning Blu-ray discs into a top-notch movie spectacle, so it can only be good news for film buffs too!
