Homebrew developer lupus has released version 2 of XMB Theme Manager. This app, which is based on luizlizard's own XMB Theme Manager, lets you change your PSP's XMB theme quickly and with minimal hassle.

Here's some info on this app, straight from lupus' post on our forums:

* App for fast changing XMB style of your PSP.
* XMBTMv2 don't flash any files to F0 (use Custom XMB plug-in from Alien2) – NO MORE BRICKS with wrong theme
* Unlimited themes supported.
* Fully tested on my PSP 1004 TA-082 3.52M33-2

Those who want to try it out on a PSP Slim should note that the developer hasn't tested it on that particular Sony product yet. Lupus does mention, however, that those who want to can try it using the eLoader for 3.60M33. And don't forget: check out the readme file included in the download before you use this app.





With this application there is no more chance on a brick with theme's. Some theme's won't work but you can decompress some .prx files and your able the use them.

If you just installed a theme and you only get a black screen this is what you do: Decompress all .prx files the application doesn't work with compressed .prx's

If you want to get passed the blackscreen just pull out your memorystick and boot up... now you will boot and after its finished you can put you memorystick back in. Once in USB mode delete the CONTENT of the following folders: ms0:/cxmb/vsh/resource/, ms0:/cxmb/vsh/module/, ms0:/cxmb/font/, ms0:/cxmb/kn/.

DO NOT DELETE THE FOLDERS!!!

Step Three: Ok once youve downloaded the theme you wish to use, extract them onto your pc, then you have to load up PRX Decompressor, and click "Quick Decompress" and look for the following files inside your theme folder u downloaded "paf.prx and vshmain.prx" Inside "Theme-Name/vsh/nodule" and once you have decompressed and saved over the orignal files, copy this folder into your theme folder on your Memory Stick Step Four: Load up XMB Theme Manager on your psp and look for the theme you uploaded and then press start, then X, and it should install the theme and then restart your psp with your nice new look. If your psp does not load, remove your psp memory stick before turning on your psp.

i really apreciate the tutorial

im still having trouble booting up the recovery menu. when i turn on the psp i hold the r button but nothing happens. can someone tell me what i am doing wrong?

i followed ur instructions
after activating the plug-in in the recovery menu, a black screen appears

as per ur trouble shooting instructions i deleted the contents of the folders specified and still the black screen appears..
i have a CFW 3.71 m33

any idea wht to to?

this is useful but i am getting stuck on step 3,my theme doesnt have any .prx's

i got past step 3
delete the bin file in the seplugins folder in the root

after this whn i lauch the manager....it doesnt work

does this work with 3.80 m33-5? PLS HELP

it works 4 me fine i have 3.52 m33-4 but how do i get other themes
