or if it does not right out of the box can I download some software so I can. I really cant wait to get back with sony ericsson. i have the iphone now, and hate samsung, and motorola. and i am afraid the k850 is all that sony can contribute to my liking right now. but without a doubt i need pdf

There are applications that can allow you to view PDF but I'm not sure if they are for K850i but maybe they could be because I have two currently for K800i. Maybe search K850i pdf reader on google and see what you find.
