This worked for me, my P1i is using the WG1 firmware:
I simply used the update application called SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service [Only Registered users can see links . Click Here To Register...]) and loaded the new firmware. Now I have as follows: Phone: CXC162037 R9K009 Bluetooth: CXC162143 R1D Organizer: CXC162108 R6G04 CDA: CDA162022/1 R6G02 Related information: [Only Registered users can see links . My P1i firmware is CXC 162037 R9H004. When exit some application i get kern-exec 3 error. I want to update the latest firmware but i've never do this before.
Is there any risk when updating? Can you describe the updating in detail how to do it. Thanks |

oh yea, i already updated. since i never installed any SE pc suite, i had to download the se update manager from the se website.
its not really the actual program, but a downloader, so after u download and execuite it, it will download (for me it was VERY slow) the update program. after download, it will ask u to follow steps, shutdown/connect mobile, etc. then it continue to... (guest what? yes!) download the *real* update. (yes i know, i wish we could just specify what our phone and just get it over with.. and its also slow..) then after that hopefully, no error, no crashes, no accidental disconnection, your p1i would be safe and updated. oh just in case, it will warn you also, make sure to backup first. because it surely wiped out everything. thank goodness i recently did a master reset so i didnt worry much. xD |
