Thumbs up Common Hardware Problems You've Encountered With Sony Ericsson P990 And P1

Maybe its about time we get some feedback from those P990 and P1 users here about their experiences with their smartphones since the time they bought it or first used it.

Just how good of a workmanship did Sony Ericsson put in these devices.

What hardware problems have you encountered so far with either Sony Ericsson P990 and P1?

How did you fix it?

Which is a better phone overall??

The first and only hardware problem I experienced with my P990i is the flip cover keypad ... After flipping it open and close for 6 months use, some of the buttons won't work anymore. I sent it to the SE service center near me and they replaced the flip cover keypad for free because of the 1-year warranty. I'ts Ok now and I seldom flipping it because the warranty expires.

I don't own or even borrowed a P1i ... sorry I cannot compare the two.

4i've got the last firmware version... I can't add bookmark to SE internet browser; the apllication crashes! And sometimes i can't add a space between 2 word in SE browser even with the stylus when i use the recognition typing method....! The alarm ring whenever they want (even if deactivate) and i often have to reboot my phone because when i receive a call, the phone vibrate and don't stop even when i answer the call! The P990 is full of bugs!

Default The SE P990i rules..

P990i is still my bet folks.. Its has both a keypad and a keyboard unlike the S.E. Psh1t.. The Keypad allows me to easily use the P990i even in rugged times.. I owned a P990i b4 then I changed it with Psh1t, I think I had made a wrong dcision.. After 4 days I nuked P1i and bought a new P990i.. We lived happily ever after.. THE END..

I don`t worry about the keypad becouse I dont use it, it's useless and make my phone bigger.
