Resently got a N95 which is brilliant, but was going to be using my k800i for work. But a few days after i got my n95 my k800i decided not to work anymore. All it would do was flash the little infrared light at me each time i tried to turn it on. I checked online to see if there was any firmware to fix the problem but with no luck. I don't know if anyone here has any ideas what to do?

the flashing red led in infrared port meaning we have screwed EROM data so the phone can not be turn on.

I got the same problem also but I manage to solve it this way...

1. download a wotan client from wotan.com
2. turn of the phone, remove the battery, sim card and memory card from your phone.
3. run wotan.exe
4. erase all log-in information
5. press start button
6. insert the battery then connect the phone via USB while holding down 2+5
7. release the buttons then wotan should update your erom.
8. unplug a cable, remove the battery and reinsert sim, memory card and battery

now it should works.

Do'nt mean to burst anyones bubble but the flashing red light in the irda slot also means your battery is dead. Have you tried plugging the charger in?

Maybe you should flash your firmware. If nothing above worked send me a pm and I will tell you how to flash your phone.

yes it could be your battery but i suppose you already tried to charge it. ainit`?
as aatjitra was saying most probably the erom is defect. repair erom is your solution. No need to flash it. just update Erom.
