Default P990i RAM problem

Hi, I have a problem regarding the RAM management of my P990i. I already upgraded my firmware to R6D23, but still the RAM available only shows 13Mb after a reboot as seen on swiss manager. Other claims it should be 16 to 17Mb. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

Ram can also be affected by what branding your phone has. For instance if you have a T-
mobile or Orange branded phone it will have extra stuff built in that can use up a bit more memory.

Also point to note, after you upgrade your firmware you should do a Master Reset as well to ensure the new firmware applies itself fully.

additional info... for generic versions, the latest firmware is R6E28.
I'm using it and the highest RAM after booting as shown in SMP was 18 to 21MB.
