Sanyo’s revitalised Xacti shoots like a dream – and fits in your shirt pocket.
The Xacti C6: small, light and thin.
Sanyo has just launched the new Xacti C6 camcorder, which has the distinction of being the world’s smallest, thinnest and lightest solid state digital camcorder (whew, that’s quite a mouthful). It’s only 23mm wide and with memory card and battery loaded weighs in at 159g.
The C6 records straight on to SD card (a 1GB card will give you around an hour of filming) in MPEG4 format at 30 frames per second, and the quality should be similar to DVD. You can also take 6 megapixel stills. Other features include a 2-inch screen and Digital Image Stabiliser to cut down on those nausea-inducing shakycam moments.
The Xacti C6 is available now, priced at around £450.
