Seeing as no one has replied, I thought I'd make a fresh thread to ask if anyone knows of a way of installing applications/games on a Samsung D900i through cable or bluetooth?

When I send a JAD or JAR file to the phone it doesn't recognise it and only gives the option to delete it.

I know there is a code you can type in to enable JAVA install, but afraid it doesn't work on the D900i !

I emailled SAMSUNG MOBILE UK today and they replied and told me "It is not possible to install games on our handsets"

and they continued... "The only way is buy downloading from our wapsite".

Which I think is very unfair! So if someone has the know-how to do this, then please share it. I would be most greatful!

Hi Mike,

You can install JAVA games/ softwares into your Samsung D900i through USB cable from PC. Please follow the procedure given in this PDF guide made by myself:

This procedure works for many Samsung mobiles like E200, E250, E830, D900i etc. This will also work for D900i because a D900i user told me that he has installed some JAVA games through USB cable with the help of this PDF guide. Just try it and inform the results.

If your phone hangs or restarts after pressing serial download, please use the TCK command. Then in my case the download started and installed finally my game / app.

Took me some time :-)
