Thread: Lock Your secret folders on your phone

Now you can lock your folders on your phone by using X-plore only.
,this worked on my N73 and my 3250 also I think it will work on all s60v3 devices.
You'll need (x-plore) to do this open (x-plore) and go to the folder you want to protect , for example you want to lock your images folder or your videos folder or any folder , I'll take IMAGES folder as an example , so follow these steps EXACTLY:
1.Go to IMAGES folder
2.Rename IMAGES into IMAGE (that means delete the last letter S)
3.press O.K. To save the new name
4.now you have folder with the name IMAGE now rename IMAGE again into
IMAGES. and dont forget to put a point in the end of the name this is essential.

now you have a folder with the name IMAGES. Which will look empty in x-plore and cannot be deleted or accessed by anyone and it will not show on the default file mgr. Of the phone and even it cannot be opened or deleted or renamed by any file manager such as YuccaBrowser or even on the computer IMAGINE!!

but wait a minute how can I view my files in that folder IMAGES. well I'll tell you how:
it is very simple just use x-plore to do this
rename IMAGES. Back into IMAGE that means delete S. press O.K. And thats it
your folder is back

using the same way you can lock any folder such as ur videos or ebooks

REMEMBER THAT ONLY X-PLORE CAN DO THIS
ALSO YOU CAN SET A PASSWORD FOR X-PLORE SO THAT NOBODY BUT YOU CAN UNLOCK YOUR LOCKED FOLDERS

wt does this X-plore mean :hmm windows explorer :?

x-plore is a file browser for symbian.:D

wow! this is a good one! but the gallery will still see the images if you have the thumbnails for the them in that folder. so you need to del the thums: _PAlbTN

what about using crypt programs like private crypt and best crypto? donj't they do the same job

does it work only with default folders? i tried with some "my-temp-data" folder and it did not work...
