Thread: How-to change your Operator Logo by K12

Hello there everyone, today we're going to learn how to change your operator logo on your S60v3. There was another tutorial by NightShift79, but it was using another method. I just thought I would add my version of how to accomplish the task.

First of all, what you need:
1) A hacked S60v3 mobile phone
2) A working SIM card as this doesn't work in Offline mode. (Not 100% tested)
3) Operator Logo Changer 1.20a (Attached)


Okay, so here we go:


1) Change your phone's date to 5/03/2008.

2) Install Operator Logo Changer 1.20a

3) Create a .bmp file. This will be your operator logo. Its resolution depends on your screen size. Here is a list to help you:

For 240*320, the image will be 134*35 .
For 176*208, the image will be 97*25 .
For 352*416, the image will be 194*50 .

I have tested this with a BMP file of 24-bit depth. Transparency is currently not
supported, but there are ways around it.

4) Send the file to your phone. You can store it in the Images folder.

5) Open OpLogo Changer 1.20a, then click on Change Operator Logo. A menu will appear
in which you will choose the file you made earlier on. The application will ask you
to restart to see the changes. Do so in order to see your new operator logo.

6) After restarting your device, you can change back your date settings. And remember, every time you need to change your operator logo, you will have to change your date back to 5/03/2008. This is because the application is beta and expires in April 2008.

Hmmm, I have a hack N95 but can't install the OpLogoChanger app. Constrained by certificate error.

EDIT: When it say change date to 05-03-2008, for those in the US should use 03-05-2008 (as we do month first here):D

This work for both hacked and non hacked phone :
1. Download and install nokialogo.jar application.
2. Run nokialogo
3. Enter your number, MCC (Mobile Country Code) and MNC (Mobile Network Code).
If you dont' keno your MCC and your MNC, use DeviceStatus
(from somewhere in this forum)
3. Select Logo operator. It's own created monocrom BMP (white wil be transparent).
You can use 24 bit depth colour BMP but it can't support transparency.
4. Send (it will cost you about 5 sms).
5. You will receive a system message, titled operator logo. Open and save it.
6. OK, your bitmap is your operator logo now.

This methode cost you 5 sms, but it worth enough because you will get aditional togle menu from menu>settings>personalisation>stand by mode>operator logo (on/off).
If you turn it off, you will get your default text operator logo back.

Benefits :
1. No need to restart for applying the change.
2. You can send your operator logo to other nokia symbian phone. (cost 5 sms)

Further, for hacked phone, you can make your own mbm file, and overwrite the operator logo placed on C:\private\10000850, named logo_xxx_y_ota.mbm.
with, xxx is your MCC and y is your MNC.

Turn off, and turn on operator logo from menu>settings>personalisation>stand by mode>operator logo to apply the change.

I tried on my E51, and sent the operator logo to my other phone 6120C, successfully.

when I use DeviceStaqtus to find my MNC it gives me 3 digit number but the Nokia operator logo only asks for 2 digits

example Country code is 302 Mobile net work is 370 so which two digits do I use on the Nokia Logo ?

you can also hide logo and take a screen shot
after that , use the screen shot with hidden logo, cut the logo zone
and write any thing you want like this:

how can i do the colour tranparent...i mean the colour in the logo like the 2nd picture...
