Thread: Hacking Trick For N82 Firmware 30.0.019 (For Those Who Have Not Updated Yet)

buNote: This Hack Will Only Work For Those Who Have Not Yet Updated To Firmware 30.0.019 Because It is UnHackable, Thus This Tutorial Will Only Work For Those People Who Have Older Firmware On Their N82.


PS:THIS IS ALSO CONFIRMED TO WORK ON OTHER S60v3 phones like n81,n95,n77

So,

1. Hack Your N82 Through BiNPDA SecMan. Full Tutorial [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

2. Copy The Attached installserver.exe File To Ur Memory Card.(In This
Tutorial I Will Be Using The "Other" Folder On The Memory Card)

3. Now Make Sure That SecMan Has Been Installed On Ur N82.

4. Now Open SecMan And Turn Plat. Security Off. Now U Will Be Able To
See & Edit System Folders.

5. Now Open Any File Explorer.(In This Tutorial I Will Be Using X-plore)

6. Copy The installserver.exe File From The Memory Card To C:\sys\bin
Now U Will Be Able To Install Unsigned Files.

7. Now Install The Attached ActiveFile Application To Ur N82 Phone
Memory.(This Attached ActiveFile Has Allfiles Capability And Can Be Used
To View System Files Even If Ur Platform Security Is Active.

8. Now Turn Ur Plat. Security On From SecMan & Confirm That U Are Able
To Open System Folders & Files Through ActiveFile.

Now Upgrade Ur N82 To 30.0.019. Because The N82 Has UDP(User Data Preservation), ActiveFile & The installserver.exe File Remain On Ur N82 & U Can Continue To Use N82 To Install Unsigned Files & View/Edit System Files & Folders Through ActiveFile.

This Method Has Been Confirmed Using My N82

Hello! I try the tutorial and it worked very good. But I Have A question, if I Format the phone (like *#7370#) the hack will keep working? or i cant format the phone?

i just used the drakkarious method its quicker. if anyone with a n82 on orange uk wants to try out my backup files right after upgrading from v20 to v30 then feel free to pm me im happy to upload the file its simple to install. iv searched the net and no one seems to have done a backup before and after the firmware update i did. i recon it will work as iv formatted my phone and restored my data and i was able to install unsigned apps

Hello I got a Black N82 v20.0.062 bought it frmo USA but change its product code to a Greek one (via NSS)

I tried the Secman way but when i Turn Off i still cant see private files (through the trial x-plore ).

I tried to install Drakkarius 2.01 and was unable to install :/

Ok, for the time being, the n82 is unhackable. It's clear.

I have the n82 black v20. I was thinking upgrading to the v30 to change my product code to EURO-1 as my n82 comes from Hong Kong which doesn't have french language. I use English language for my language phone but used very often T9 french when texting. T9 saves times very much and render texting speedy.

If I hacked my v20, self-sign my applications with mobile signer (which means that the applications are signed), then upgrade to v30, Do a hard reset(erase all hacks) and install the signed application. Do you think the signed application on v20 will work on v30? Anyone tried this?

If that work I will sign all the applications which I need then move to v30.

Many might ask why I would want do a hard reset cuz my hack would be preserved through UDP...I think there will be some problems as I will be putting a different firmware on it which will be the euro-1 version. It might raise error which many get. Sometimes as well, I format my phone to make a clean install of all my applications when I see the phone getting slow, or cuz of some files leftup during unistallation or files being corrupted. Something like that.

If somebody tried this, please let me know...It's the only way for me to go through the v30 as there are some improvements from the v30.
