There is a question still unanswered (I think).... if I use this method to upgrade to v30, and later I need to do a hard reset, is it going to stay hacked???

OF COURSE IT WILL ERASE ALL HACKS DEAR CUZ WHEN YOU RESET, IT RESTORES ALL FROM ROM AFTER ERASING ALL PRESENT ON THE FLASH MEMORY! Upgrade to version 31. A hack is present for the last version.
