Thread: Remove WLAN scan,Search,calendar entries, and todo notes from Active Standby screen

With these four patches, you can remove all stuck stuff from Active Standby screen, allowing you to view only the regular shortcuts you've set in phone settings.

No more WLAN scan, Search, calendar entries, and to-do notes in Active Standby screen.

Use this patches with "ROM patcher" (by Zorn) for S60v3


How to use:

-extract the four .rmp files to E:\patches\ in your memory card
-turn "Active Standby" off (unless it's disabled already)
-make sure you have "ROM patcher" by Zorn installed in your phone.Then launch it.
-apply any of the patches (or even all four) you want.
-turn "Active Standby" on.


After that, the feature(s) you've applied the patch for (Search plugin, WLAN scan, Calendar entries, and/or To-do notes) won't show up.

hey people, i have downloaded a program to remove all this garbage "wlan" and "search" and so on of the main screen, but it will not remove the shortcut ones just sitting on top, that is the contacts and so on (6 in all), which is what i still want.

it should be already signed, if not i suggest you download x-sign which gives you 20 yrs, another program i found excellent is x-plore, it basically is like windows explorer but made for s60 3rd phones.

if any of these hackers who have brought us happiness read this then i salute you all, keep on keeping on.

hiya... just tried this... n95 8gb v31.
it comes back with reboot. enabled auto patch also in rom patcher.
but have to turn off active standby and turn it on. than it disappears...
but reboot and same story.

If you want to remove something permanently, I did it manually and it sticks after reboot.
Turn off active standyby then, get AlPluginDefinition.rsc from Z:\resource\
Find this string for search: 527d0020-0200-01-00-527d0020
and change it to: 527d0021-0200-01-00-527d0020
This will hide search

(Only different is changing the 3rd 0 to a 1)

For WLAN, change: d61c2810-0200-01-00-d61c2810
to: d61c2811-0200-01-00-d61c2810

For share, change: 7fa70020-0200-01-00-00000000
to: 7fa70021-0200-01-00-00000000

Save and put the new file in C:\resource\ and turn active standby on

wait, why do you need this? When you disable active standby, they all go away o_o
