app icons are in aif.mif file and if we copy it from resource\apps\xy_aif.mif to others and rename it to xy_aif.swf we can weave in svgtapp or in gallery/presentations so it can be edited on pc easily, but need to have makesis s60v3 and to sign sis file u make

    easier than on s60v2

Use App Sniffer to Get Uid number of App & then just change it using Uid number.

Use this App to get Uid number.A Uid number is a number found in series 60v2 fones like n70 using FExplorer. This uid number is used to change the icon-
For example like in carbide 3.1 or 3.2 there are icons like bluetooth & settings etc but if U Wanna Add Icons For Taskman or Flash or Quick Office then Uid number is required so for that app sniffer is used in our 3rd edition phones like n73 or n95 since FExplorer is yet a Beta Version for our phones.
    HERE IS THE APP SNIFFER.
HOPE THIS WILL HELP U CHEERZZZ.

Sorry bro, we are not talking about changing icon in Carbide. We're talking about how to change the icon permanently, so that icons don't change when we change the theme (as long is the theme doesn't include custome icons). I'm sure u still remember S60 icon Wizard which can change icons in old symbian OS.

Of course we have to know the UID for apps or games icons before we change that (we can use AppSniffer, AppUIDViewer or FExplorer). But how we can change the icon without using any theme. As far as i know, S60 icon wizard can't be used in S60v3.

Ah, there's nothing we can do by changing its extension to .swf. How can u say that? or I miss something? Rename it to swf than open it, n guess what, it's a blank page. If it show the icon in swf, i'm sure it will be very easy to change the icon, just like what u said. But when it show u a blank page, there's nothing u can do. If i miss something, please explain it in detail
