[Tutorial]
If you are an avid software tester like me then you would
know that some softwares will screw things up, be it original, trial,
warez.
This was my case when i install bounce technology - videotone v1.31.0
on my n6600 yesterday. (please note this is not warez, it was downloaded from handango.com, its trial version)
It hang after it finish installing, nothing works, i had to remove the batery
and restart it. only to find the damn software rearrange all my menu
shortcuts to my own folder. every single one of them in my own folder.
if this was bad enough, the software doesnt even work.
so i thought a hard reset (not formating) would restore it but to my
sorrow it doesnt. To restore it one by one would kill me.
I went googling and found nothing.
that is why i decide to write this small tutorial to help
fellow members and other unlucky people.
So if one of the softwares you install screw up you shortcuts in your menu
and want to return it to default. This is what you do:-
requirement:
FExplorer or some file explorer.
goto "c:\system\data" and look for "Applications.dat" and rename it to
"Applications.dat.bak".
now restart the phone.
voila!
everything should return to normal and default position. then just delete
"Applications.dat.bak".
