    Description:

    Tokiva addresses three key communications necessities for mobile users:
    1) inexpensively make calls around the world,
    2) access email, and
    3) share social lives with friends and family.

    Users register at the Tokiva website, create a profile, download Tokiva Mobile software to the phone, and then they can call any number in the world from their mobile. Tokiva calls the user back and immediately connects the user to the called party. With Tokiva Mobile, users can also access their existing web or corporate email accounts.

    How To Call
    When you make a call with Tokiva, Tokiva will call you back, and immediately connect you with the party you want to reach.

    Can I Call To Any Phone Number?
    Yes. You can call to a mobile number or a regular phone number, anywhere in the world.

    Can I Call From Any Number?
    Yes. The "Call From" number can be any number, including regular landlines. You can register up to 3 call back numbers that you use on a regular basis (eg, mobile, home, and office).

    Roaming

    Save On Roaming With Tokiva - Two Easy Steps

    1. When you are traveling, get a local SIM card at the destination country. Prepaid SIM cards are readily available in every country with wireless GSM networks. A local SIM card comes with a local phone number in that destination country.

    2. Set that local phone number as your Tokiva number.

    Done.

    If you want to make a call, simply use Tokiva to dial, you save on international calls and pay no roaming charge. If you want to receive a call, simply have your friends to call you on Tokiva. They can just call your regular number as they normally do, and do not have to know your local number. Tokiva will automatically route the call to you. Neither your friends or you pay for roaming.

    Email

    Tokiva works with your existing Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, or corporate email accounts.

    How Do I Set My Email Account ?
    On Tokiva web home page, set your email account information. Tokiva will try to connect to you email server and let you know if the connection is successful.

    How Do I Check Email ?
    Download and install Tokiva Mobile application, switch to Email screen, and click on "Refresh".

    Is Tokiva Email a Push Email Service ?
    Tokiva Email can be configured as either a "Push" or "Poll" service. "Push" means emails get delivered to your mobile phone as the come in. "Poll" means Tokiva will fetch the mail when you click on "refresh" button. Push email typically consume more data bandwidth than "Poll" email. By default, Tokiva Email is a "Poll" service.

    How Much Data Bandwidth Does Tokiva Email Consume ?
    Tokiva Email service transcodes and optimizes email for wireless data connectivity and transmission. A typical Tokiva Email consumes less than 0.5 kilobyte of data bandwidth.

    How to Enable Gmail POP Access
    1. Log into your Gmail account
    2. Click "Settings" on the upper right corner of the screen
    3. Click on "Forwarding and POP/IMAP"
    4. Select the option: There are 2 options here.
    -Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded)
    -Enable POP only for mail that arrives from now on
    We recommend "Enable POP only for mail that arrives from now on". This would let you to see the new mail from the moment you enable the option instead of seeing the old mails.
    5. Save the change and you are ready to go!

    How to Enable Yahoo POP Access
    1. Log into your Yahoo Mail account
    2. Copy and pasted this URL into your browser - hxxp://subscribe.yahoo.com/deliver
    3. Select "Yes" under "Sign Up"
    4. Click on "Finish" and you are ready to go!

    Sharing

    You can share photo, mood, location with your friends.

    How Do I Upload a Photo ?
    On Tokiva web home page, you can choose from a list of photos, or you can upload an image. Once the photo is uploaded, your friends will see it both on the web and on the mobile.

    How Do I Share My Mood ?
    Tokiva has prepared a list of "emoticons", that represents happiness, sadness, and a few other emotions in between. You can choose from the list, and your friends will see it both on the web and on the mobile. If you have a new emoticon you would like to share with Tokiva community, please let us know.

    How Do I Share My Location ?
    On Tokiva web home page and on Tokiva Mobile software, there is a "Personal Message" field. This is the perfect place to write up a few words and let your friends know where you are traveling to.
