As we know, iTunes music have DRM protection which prevent customer from play it with other apple incompatible players such as Zune, Creative Zen and various mobile phone, etc.

So, the only way to use it as your ringtone is remove the protection.

Two methods with ease

1. Remove iTunes DRM protection using iTunes + CD-R

Follow these 5 steps:
• Create an iTunes playlist containing your purchased songs.
• Insert a blank CD-R or a CD-RW.
• Burn the playlist to disk.
• Re-import the songs after a successful burn.
• Deleting the original purchased tracks.

2. Use a third-party software.

You can also use a DRM converter to remove the DRM (digital right management) with only one step. As I'm using converter called Daniusoft digital Music Converter which you can free download to have a try.
