Yes thats what I am trying to say, nokia isn't saying anything about the 3d hw anymore. I'm almost positive that it is not in the n85 because nokia has put a hold on their 3d hw accelerated phones. I think the problem had become that it would limit the field of ngage to too few people or that they would continually have to make a hwa version of the game and also the non hwa version. And btw srxrza... I was right about another thing...the n85 has a freescale processor

hey guys, i have an n95 8gb unit and planning to replace it with n96. To those who have this n96,
could you answer my questions:
1)do you have any problems with compatibility in 2d and 3d games? its an fp3 unit right?
2)when you fill 60% of your 16gb, how many seconds or minutes or even an hour for the processor
to cache everything to make the accessing of menu faster? i have filled my unit almost 72mb phone (unavoidable phone memory used installation takes my phones memory)memory left and 80% of my
8gb... it takes 1 minute to cache everything in functional...im not using any themes.. and all is
default and all unneeded services is off.
3) does it heats up faster when using a streaming? like youtube? when i tried youtube streaming
,my unit does heats up faster but could endure almost an hour i think..
4) try plugging your headphone or headset once then pull it out after making it function, then again
put it back, make it run and then unplug it? what happens? Does it restart? Mine will restart im using
the old ver 10 firmware.

price check for n96?

@ssvillamor... I don't have the n96 yet but I can tell you this much... It is not fp3, its os9.3 fp2. Atm there isn't an fp3 phone released to the public. And as for the 3d handling of the n96.... It does not have 3d hw like the n95 8gb and therefore won't be able to run hardware accelerated games the way the n95 8gb does. Hope this helps answer your first question

hello people! am relatively inactive in this forum till now. cuz i'm rly stuck between the option for either of the phones!

started off looking for a phone tt can giv me free gps locating function (cuz i became more enthusiatic abt cycling), den i thought a combi of phone+music player will b gd, so yep, i narrowed down to nokia n series (partly due to fren's influence).

locked down to n85 at first, but later on was checking for something better, and realized tt n96 is bigger in memory. tt's when the battle from within myself begins.

frens been telling me different opinion abt the phones, blogs and websites too. so i'm rly torn.

anyone who hav either phones, can u pls help us here?

i'd like to kn more abt the gps function and wifi(including web browser) of these phones. rly appreciate me very much if anyone'd to share with us.
