I debranded my phone a few weeks ago and also installed ShakeSMS. Now when I push the multimedia key (the menu button on the right), the screen flashes then goes back to the main screen. I debranded it from Vodafone, so is that normal for a debranded N95 8GB?
I ask because I've recently noticed that my battery life has dropped by a day or so and I remember reading that someone's multimedia key was permanently stuck on and that was the cause for their battery drain. I don't know if it has anything to do with ShakeSMS or my multimedia key. Is it normal to lose the multimedia menu after you've debranded your phone? |

I'm just using the standard theme's on the phone. Only thing I've done software wise is unbranded it and hacked it. I have no idea why my multimedia key isn't working.
When I hold it down, it still brings up the music player. But when I press it once, the screen goes blank like something is loading then it just goes back to the main screen. No idea why the menu bit isn't working anymore. |

I have similar problem.
The screen just blinked and nothing happens. I think its due to the installed themes or other adware. (or might be the runtime.. or whatever) Every phones have its own flaw... Anyway, what I do.. Slide open the phone (or use your manual setting "press unlock") to activate keypad, Press the multimedia key during the "keypad unlocked" popup appeared. The multimedia menu should appear. (It worked on my N95 8GB) So, I don't need to restart my phone over & over again if the multimedia menu fail to function. Hope that this will lighten the flaw on the phone =) |
