I recently switched from Vodafone to Three, primarily to take advantage of the N95/Slingbox/Unlimited data download combination, which is awesome btw.
However, when Vodafone called me to try to keep me as a customer they said that the Three network has poor coverage because the line is rented from O2, so O2 customers will be preferred. Is that true and how much will it affect the coverage? Sorry if this issue has been discussed but "3" and "three" are pretty hard to search for! |

Three now use Orange to provide 2G coverage (which covers 99.5% of the UK) as their contract with O2 expired earlier in the year.
They also have 90% 3G population coverage so as long as you do not live somewhere too remote then you should be able to get full 3G services. Also next year Three will be sharing 3G transmitters with T-Mobile so this should increase their coverage to around 99% of the UK population. I do happen to work for Three so my views of the network may be slightly biased but the above facts are all true! |
