Waving a Wiimote isn’t all Nintendo’s new console has to offer, with the company pledging to make any sort of controller, as long as there’s a game that needs it!
In an interview with games site Kikizo, Nintendo’s Katsuya Eguchi let slip that the company would make anything from light guns to guitars for the Wii, and that gameplay experience is its number one priority.
“If the game requires a peripheral, then we'll supply a peripheral,” he said. “It's all about the end user's experience, and that's the top priority for us.”
We’ve alreadyseen a prototype lightgun, and the thought of a full sized golf club, or hilarious Wii running shoes, has us itching to get our hands on the console.
But wait – there’s more good news! Our friends over at computerandvideogames.com reckon Nintendo will give us a final price and release date by September at the latest.
Good work fellas, but we’re busting for a Wii already, and the sooner we get our hands on its gaming goodness the better!
Thanks T3
