Thread: Nokia batteries: now with the hologram and the ID-code

Today Nokia announced the launch of the program against the distribution of forged low-quality batteries for handsets, the company introduced the ID program for original Nokia products.

Well, all new Nokia batteries will come with the ID hologram stickers. Nokia stickers include a hologram picture and an identity code covered with the protective scratch foil. The buyer could make sure of the battery origin by visual control.

The visible elements consist of Nokia Connecting Hands, Nokia Original Enhancements logo and the series of dots around it. Each element can be seen from different viewing angles. Besides the buyer could check the origin by sending an online message or SMS with the 20-digits ID-code located under the sticker.

In any case, in the press-release Nokia threatened the makers of the counterfeit with legal pursuits.
