    iCombi AH10 is compatible with BlueCore3 and Bluetooth 1.1/1.2, A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), AVRCP (Audio Visual Remote Control Profile). The audio stream in iCombi AH10 is processed by own DSP-engine and ARM-processor. In active mode the headset will work for some 11 hours on a single charge.

    Default iPAQ rx1950 and rx195: another handheld PC series powered by Windows Mobile 5.0, rumo

    At the Spanish forum Todo Pocket PC you can come across an unofficial info from “reliable sources” on the new PDA series by Hewlett Packard – the rx1900 series containing two Pocket PCs the iPAQ rx1950 and the rx1955. These devices will be the first iPAQs powered by Windows Mobile 5.0.

    The specs of the rx1900:
    • Processor – Samsung S3C2442 300 MHz
    • Memory - 64 MB ROM and 32 MB SDRAM
    • 3.5” TFT-screen with QVGA resolution and 65K colors
    • Expansion slot for SDIO cards
    • Interfaces – IrDA, Wi-Fi (802.11b)
    • Li-Ion battery capacious of 1100 mAh
    This is all available info on new products so far. Unfortunately, there won’t be integrated Bluetooth module. It seems that the models will differ in the camera. There is on approximate info on the release date and the price.

    Default Waterproof 1GB miniSD card by Adtec

    The Japanese company Adtec has extended the line of miniSD storage cards called AD-MSDP with its 1GB card. First of all the AD-MSDP series is peculiar for its waterproof opportunity. Water resistant of the card under JIS standard complies with protection class 6 and 7. According to the manual, if the card gets wet, you should just wipe it dry.
    The cards of the series have good speed performance – data transfer speed should reach 6 Mbps. The 1GB card is expected is shops in September. The approximate price makes up $190. the sales package contains the card and the SD adapter.

    Default BenQ P50: under Siemens brand in Europe

    It seems that BenQ intends to use recently acquired Siemens brand and make the most of it. Every now and then appear news on BenQ design developments under Siemens brand on the Asian market, today the Commercial Times published the info that the company plans to start sales of its PDA-enabled phone under Siemens brandin Europe in late September – early October.


    There are no official comments from BenQ. However Siemens wasn’t a strong player on the smartphone market, so BenQ decided to make an experiment by introducing the P50 only. Nevertheless some new developments under Siemens brand are expected by the end of this year, and by February 2006 there will be unveiled the first dual-brand phone BenQ-Siemens. I’d remind our readers that the PDA-enabled quad-band (GSM/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) phone P50 introduced in the Taiwanese retail in June features Windows Mobile 2003, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi interfaces, 1.3-megapixel camera, QWERTY-keyboard and 2.8” 262K color TFT screen.

    According to Reuters referring to CNBC TV channel, the stocks of RIM (Research In Motion, famous for its Blackberry technology) have soared by 5% at once following the cooperation announcement with Intel in the sphere of energy-saving and WiMAX technologies. Research In Motion plans to apply battery power saving technology developed by Intel and also to join main-line wireless WiMAX communication promoted by the consortium headed by Intel. This info is a kind of a rumor, however the companies are expected to officially announce their cooperation this week in the framework of Intel Developer Forum.

    Default Motorola iTunes-phone approved by FCC

    At last there appeared official info on the long-awaited Motorola phone with the support of iTunes service. The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has approved Motorola E790 phone. According to the supplied manual the phone could interact with iTunes. This is not yet a press release from Motorola, but already something. We can’t say for sure it will be the first model on the market that supports this function. Probably some other company will outpace Motorola, but Motorola E790 is the first phone, which is not only rumored about.

It is meant for GSM (850/900/1800/1900) networks, has a VGA-camera, an expansion slot for micro SD (TransFlash) cards and Bluetooth interface.     Default A5E, A7V and W1V: 3 notebook series by ASUSTeK

    ASUSTeK has unveiled 3 notebook series at once – the A5E, the A7V and the W1V.

    These series contain notebooks equipped with TV-tuners. They run ASUS Mobile Theater and Microsoft Media Center Edition applications for movies, DVD, TV, radio and photo, which do not need OS to be launched. The A5E series is equipped with a 15.4” wide screen with Color Shine LCD technology. The A7V notebooks feature larger screens (17.1”), also widescreen. Both series have built-in subwoofers, Web-cameras and mics. The A5E series comes with an FM-tuner.

    In the Internet appeared the info on the release date and the price of the next generation game console by [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] – Nintendo Revolution. The French site of Amazon online-shop has the page devoted to the new console. The release date is June 15, 2006 and the price makes up €299.99, i.e. some $365.
    Traditionally the price in Europe isn’t much higher than in America. The price for Nintendo Revolution is expected to be lower than for the Xbox 360 console by Microsoft. Microsoft has recently announced the official pricelist for its new device, and Amazon might have just put the expected price for the Revolution expecting the official release. Time will show whether this info agrees with reality.

    Default Nokia N70 smartphone approved by FCC

One model of this series – the N90 is already commercially available, and the rest two (the N91 and the N70) are on their way. The release of the N70 is set for the 3Q or 4Q of 2005.
    The smartphone supports UMTS, GSM, GPRS and EDGE standards. It is powered by Symbian OS 8.1 with Nokia Series 60 interface. There are two cameras onboard – a 2-megapixel camera and extra VGA camera. There is an integrated FM-tuner and the support of Bluetooth. The N70 carries 30 MB of own memory onboard, besides there is an expansion slot for RS-MMC cards.
