In the past years, Nokia has released a number of phones with extraordinary looks. Although they were much criticized, and the user-friendliness of those models was doubted, Nokia has certainly managed to leave their very own unique signature. And it appears they will do it again. Their angle this time will be the material used. Don’t be surprised by velvet phones, or rubber phones. Nokia could just make it happen.

He was giving an idea of what phone designers are working on now ‘to give people a more interesting sensory experience’. He was speaking at a press conference here by visiting senior Nokia executives on Tuesday. A start had already been made when Nokia launched its velvet and stainless-steel Fashion Collection range last September. While he declined to say exactly what Nokia’s new phones would look or feel like, Mr Ollikainen promised that the company’s new phones would be exciting and sexy.
