Hello, i have Garmin mobile xt 5.00.50 and a "problem"... when i go to "View map" i can't move throught the map? Is this normal? I can see only location located by GPS and zoom it? But when i go to settings/browse map, i can move anywhere... How can i change this?

Hi all!

Finally I could install the standalone version of Garmin XT on my N79. But when I open the Garmin XT application I have 4 choices:

1) Purchase and Go
2)Begin Free trial
3) Enter Product key
4) Connect to a garmin GPS.

This seems to not to be how it is supposed to be... - because I couldn't find any *****s, serials or keygens!

Does anyone know a solution???

Thanks in advance!

PS: Sorry for doubleposting - i realized it too late that there was a special "help" topic!

3x yes! I have nokia 5800, and program works perfectly, but when i start it, and go to "view map", i can see map, streets and so on, but i can't move the map! It's position is fixed (location found by gps), and i can only zoom. But, when i go to options/browse map i can see the route, but i can also move the map to see what ever i want.

Thanks

P.S. I used this tutorial
3w.noeman.org/gsm/maps/74152-garmin-scg-adriaroute-kako-instalirati-tutorial.html
because it is in my native language

Default Garmin core software on a Tomtom XL

Hi is it possible to install all the core Garmin GPS software on a Tomtom XL hardware device?

I have installed different Tomtom navcore versions and types on this device but I can't seem to find a way to do that with Garmin core... I need to run some mapsource maps on that device.

This has to do with the fact there is no map for Iceland from Tomtom.

Thanks in advance,
P

Thanks for you answer! I tried you tutorial before but I had the following problem:

"Remember if you have a FP2 phone, it must have state a version of 4.00.40 as a minimum before you install."

Where do I get this "basic installer"? Because I couldn't get any further without this I tried the standalone version which unfortunately didn't work!

Thx

Hi, my first post on here so be gentle with me!
I thought this was the way it was supposed to work, ie VIEW MAP is the navigation view and only changes by movement once a satilite lock is achived and BROWSE MAP is the one that can be panned and scrolled without a lock My 5800 works this way and so do the other Garmin Pda's I have.

This is exactly what i wanted to ask! Is it supposed to be like that or i did something wrong?! I have standalone NavNGo GPS, and on it i can always move map! This is very usefull becasue i can see route in advance... I also asked my friend who has nokia N95 and older version of garmin, he can move map from "view map" option

imstall last version + base maps +Support Files
it's written in my post
You must have a previous version of the XT software installed on your SD card to have all of the help files, voice files and basemap files. These are not included with this update.
if you dont have download them from links provided in last version post
