In order to prevent all help help help stuff to fling to your posts about Elder Scrolls Travels Shadowkey, here are the tips....

Situation #1: Running Elder Scrolls the first time...

Problem: Screen flashes black then automatically exits

Solution: Turn bluetooth on first, then run the game itself...

Situation #2: Exiting the Elder Scrolls, restarting your phone to completely close the program.

Problem:n70 says "anykey: out of memory, close some apps before running" while the phone of yours didn't run any programs and worst of all you can't get access to the menu..

Solution

WARNING - MAKE SURE THE ELDER SCROLLS IS INSTALLED IN YOUR MEMORY CARD!!!!

1. If you exit the elder scrolls, turn your phone off and remove your mem. card then turn it back on, wait for a few seconds until your phone runs smoothly.

2. Access the Menu, then reattach your memory card to your phone...this will restore all of the mem. card programs while not getting an error message at all.

3. Then re-run Elder Scrolls with bluetooth on...

4. Enjoy!

This just happened to my phone, and it may be a stupid thing to turn your n70 off and turning it back on without your memory card but eventually you'll get used to it. Hope this helps :D



EDIT: Here's an easier solution when you quit the game...

Situation: Exiting the Elder Scrolls

Problem: Phone flashes white screen

Solution:

1. Press the red button {the button that exits the call button).

2. Press the Power Button then select Remove Memory Card.

3. A warning will display that all apps which are running will be closed (Especially Elder Scrolls "Which is a good thing") select yes then wait until it tells you to remove your mem. card, then remove the mem. card on your n70.

4. Access the Menu then reinstall your Memory Card.

WARNING - THIS WILL NOT LET YOU GIVE ACCESS TO SOME APPLICATIONS (NON-GAMES), ONE EXAMPLE I CAN GIVE IS THE MUSIC PLAYER!!!, but if you don't mind...besides, it can still run all your games..

...Or you can try upgrading to the latest (I think) firmware version V 5.0705.3.0.1 (30-01-07).
My N70 runs Shadowkey perfectly (bluetooth ON), entering and exiting numerous times without the need to reboot. If you still have problems try formatting your phone so you can clean install everything and ALWAYS remember to put the contents of the "libs" folder to the game folder itself and NOT in "/memcard/system/libs". Keep that folder clean.

More tips before you turn your phone on...

(If you turn the phone off for some activities)

1. Remove your memory card.

2. Turn your n70 on, then wait until you get to the main screen...

3. Run your Music Player.

4. Insert your memory card.

5. Wait for the memory card to open and process the music files.

6. Close the Music Player.

Question: What Happened?

Answer: try opening some Media Applications like the Music Player or your gallery, and find out that you can still run some of the other applications.

Where can i get that firmware of which you speak? and get more specific out of "The Game Folder itself".....am i supposed to move the libs folder to the apps folder instead?

and can someone tell me on how to install The Sims: Bustin Out for the n70? Thanks in advance!

You must go to

and follow the wizard to upgrade, that's how I got it. For the elder scrolls all you have to do is this:

Put the folder "6R51" to MEMORY CARD/SYSTEM/APPS. Then put all the files from the "LIBS" folder to MEMORY CARD/SYSTEM/APPS/6R51. Turn BT on and play.
The same goes for most games that can be run on N70. You don't have to (must not) put the contents of the "libs" folders to your memory card's "SYSTEM/LIBS" where all the necessary libs files for operating the phone are located, because thats how you cripple your phone eventually and have to re-format.

I can't help you with sims bustin out, I get a memory full error.

Does the game get sound? And do you refer all of the other N-Gage Games?

No there is no sound, I prefer it this way anyway. This doesn't apply to all other N-gage games but most of them I think (I have 12 games at the same time and they all play fine). There are other games that need fixes and tricks to play but in my opinion if a game requires too much trouble to install and/or seems to be "dangerous" for the phone, I don't want it. Then there are those that are sis-ready packages, so in that case you just install. (I'm not sure whether they are safe because they probably put files in places that can cause instabillity in memory during the installation but I have a couple of those installed too, without any problems so far).

Tested AlienFront, it only had sound.

Payload ******* by BinPDA works, even without bluetooth! but thing is, the game sometimes lags or exits unexpectingly.

Though, yes all files from the Libs folder should be placed on the application referring to ALL N70 N-gage games!

USEFUL INFO

The following N-Gage Libs have been found to be the cause of system instability on Series60 phones:


System/Libs:

* ssladaptor.dll
* Stringpool.dll


Problems include:
* Problems recording video
* application crashes on exiting some games/apps (including
non N-Gage games!)
* Random phone reboots in some games/apps (including non
N-Gage games!)
* Various connectivity errors


Deleting these files from your System/Libs folder and then performing a reboot of your handset should improve system stability and still allow you to play N-Gage games. If an N-Gage game requires one or more of these files simply copy the required file(s) to the GAMES own folder (not the Libs folder!).
