Thread: N-Gage gaming performance improvement

Hi.
Many of you play N-Gage games on not yet supported mobile phones (5700, N73, N93 and ect.). Some of the games works fine, but others with low performance. I mean, when I play Asphalt3: Street Rules or System Rush: Evolution, I have to turn of sound tu reduce the lack of FPS.
This thread can help many for to assure more performance improvemant for phones with low hardwere, such as Nokia N73.
Maybe BiNPDA team could be able to suggest something...

Here is some advices to improve the performance of N-Gage gaming:

• Turn off sound. About 5 FPS plus
• Do not do any else tasks, just N-Gage
• when you play midnight pool, it sometimes go slow when you hit the hole and it shows player and he is sayin "yeah" or something else depend what caracter you have - when in this moment games slows down a bit, you just press and hold menu button and then when you see the tasks that are running (even if only n-gage is running) just select back n-gage and game will be in full speed again!

nice tricks spiral...but its needed for phones with 3D accelerated CPU?

Mariuskane:You don't need a 3D accelerator for this tips.It is only for phones with low RAM and slower processors such as 5700,N73,3250 etc.

i have enough RAM and 3D accelerated CPU. so i dont need them :P

@Marius: unfortunately my friend, our 3D accelerated mobiles don't ever use the 3D chip, because we don't have any games that make use of it; all n-gage games are currently running in as we would call it "software mode", making use of only the ARM processor (the 3d chip is separate, just like a 3d card). I hope that ONE and Star Wars will make use of our 3D chip, and then we'll see some major 3D and FPS improvement. oh, btw, i think you already have the 3D GPU demo installed from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Check it out and compare it to actual 3D games from n-gage (like Brothers in Arms or COTD) and tell me what you think...
