Description:

Ashen NGAGE by peterpete


Ashen, the 3D gothic horror themed, first person shooter that pits mobile gamers against a host of horrors will be out later this year. To give you a taster of what's to come, check out the enclosed screenshots. In addition to exciting single player action, up to four people can play in death match mode via Bluetooth wireless technology.

ASHEN is being developed by Torus Games, a leading game developer based in Melbourne, Australia.


"ASHEN will capture mobile gamers with its impressive gameplay and unique features," said Pasi Polonen, director of game publishing, entertainment and media business unit, Nokia Mobile Phones. "With a compelling storyline, fast-paced action and unique features, Ashen will inspire gamers to fight against an amazing range of enemies and to explore and rescue the citizens of Seven River City."

The game has a unique "ghost vision" mode enabling gamers to detect and combat invisible enemies that block their progress through the game. Players can choose from eight different weapon types such as dual pistols, a Gatling gun, sniper rifle and a unique alien assault gun. Eight single-player maps are available, with two additional maps for multiplayer deathmatch gaming. Ashen players will be able to share their best scores with other devotees of the game via N-Gage Arena, the mobile online gaming community.


Mobile gamers can immerse themselves in a rich 3D world, ranging from ruined cityscapes, spectacular cathedrals, and alien infested streets. With eight unique and intelligently behaving enemy types, players will need to keep their wits about them as they try to unravel the reasons behind the supernatural phenomena that have taken over Seven River City.

Barakel (N-Gage QD Game) by peterpete

Barakel ("blessed by El") was a king of Ammon in the 670s BCE. He is known from a small (15.9x16.9 mm) black clay bulla bearing his seal impression. A groove and several dots around the impression demonstrate that the seal likely took the form of a metal ring. Fingerprints found around the edge of the bulla may belong to Barakel himself.

His name, which invokes the name of the god El (as do the names of his fellow Ammonite kings Pado'el and Barakel suggests that El was worshipped in Ammon alongside Milcom and other deities. Interestingly, the seal is aniconic, unusual for a device of its type., some scholars have speculated that this may be due to the influence of Israelite iconoclasm (though others dispute this, maintaining that an image may well have appeared on the reverse of the seal and/or that rejection of images is not entirely evident from contemporary excavations in Israel itself.

Bomberman (N-Gage QD Game) by peterpete

Hudsonsoft bring their classic Arcade Franchise "Bomberman" to the N-Gage. It's heavily pushing Bluetooth Multiplayer, and now the threat of Unique 3D Worlds has been abated (it's 3-d cut scenes and traditional 2-d top down viewpoint for the main game) the purists could be looking at a top notch version of the classic we all know.
